If you ever have the misfortune of being at the video rental store, and all there is left is this movie, go home, turn the lights off and sit in the dark for 2 hours… you will be much better off, and enjoy yourself more.
I have never seen so many stereotypes crammed into one movie…
- Football hooligans going to ‘the big game’ in France, talking about how much they hate i-tai’s (Italians for those who don’t speak hooligan) and beating up the first Frenchman they see.
- Frequent assertions that all Europeans like to have freaky sex.
- The generic Eastern Europe town portraying it as a run-down communist state.
I could go on but its not worth it… just don’t watch it. Its bad… very bad…
Actually to its credit there were two really funny bits, one with Matt Damon (how _did_ they get these reasonably big name actors involved?!) singing a song about how he was scoring Scotty’s (the main character) girlfriend and ‘Scotty Doesn’t Know’, and one bit where Scotty is scoring his German penpal in a dream and David Hasselhoff is singing in a bubble in the corner of the screen… Still not worth the time it takes to watch it…
